Storms to bring threat of flash flooding

All of New Hampshire is under a Flash Flood Watch through Tuesday morning with 1-3 inches of rain expected to cause road washouts and rapid rises on streams and rivers.

Rain began moving into southern New Hampshire by early afternoon and was expected to overspread the rest of the state throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, thunderstorms will develop through the afternoon, bringing the threat for flash flooding.

Forecasters said the area could see widespread street flooding in some areas in addition to sharp rises on streams and rivers.
