Quinn (no-hitter), Labarre (walkoff HR) carry East

Patrick Quinn threw a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead Manchester East to a 3-0 win over visiting Nashua in the first round of the District I Little League 11-12-year-old Tournament on Thursday. Quinn walked five batters in the win.

Tim Labarre actually shared the spotlight with Quinn, hitting a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth on a 1-1 delivery. The homer went over left-center field with Ryan Cardow (double) and Jack Fitzgerald (error) aboard.

East managed to generate five hits off Nashua starter Hunter Bouthier, who struck out 11 batters in the complete-game loss.

East will host Danville tonight at 6.
