Fisher Cats rally to victory

The Fisher Cats scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning to come from behind and knock off Portland, 5-4, on Thursday night for their sixth straight win in the opener of a four-game series at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

The Fisher Cats were down 4-3 starting the eighth and Brad Glenn reached on a one-out walk issued by reliever Miguel Celestino. Glenn went to third on Clint Robinson's double to deep center field. He scored on a Celestino wild pitch that went to the backstop.

Shortstop Kevin Nolan was next and lifted a fly ball to right fielder J.C. Linares. Glenn tagged and avoided a tag by catcher Christian Vazquez in a close play at the plate.

The Fisher Cats improved to 39-40 and moved within a half game of Portland in the Eastern Division.

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
