NASHUA — The 2013 class at Boys State will hold graduation exercises at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rivier University in the Dion Center.
This will mark the 66th year that the American Legion has held New Hampshire American Legion Boys State.
During the weeklong session, incoming high school seniors from all over the state have been taught citizenship, democracy, government and leadership. They are also able to earn three college credits and scholarships.
Boys State is a practical application of the duties, responsibilities and privileges of American citizenship. Its purpose is to awaken the youth of our nation a sincere conviction that a well-informed, intelligent, participating citizenry is most vitally needed to protect and preserve our American traditions.
