MANCHESTER – A man was robbed early Tuesday morning at Maple and Spruce streets by two men who made their getaway on bicycles.
Police said the 32-year-old victim, whose name they did not release, was set up by two women. He was walking about 1:10 a.m. near Maple and Spruce streets when he encountered two women who struck up a conversation with him.
As they were talking, two men came up behind him, grabbed his arms and then went through his pockets, taking his cash, police said.
One of the men pointed a nail file at him during the robbery.
The two then got onto bicycles and pedaled off, with the two women fleeing on foot.
The robbers are described as white men, 18 to 19 years old, about 5-foot-9 with muscular, thin builds. One wore a blue shirt while the other wore a brown shirt.
