Fisher Cats stop Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Sean Nolin matched a career-best by working seven innings, allowing one run, and the Fisher Cats scored three times in the top of the eighth inning en route to a 4-1 win in Harrisburg on Saturday night.

Trailing 1-0 entering the eighth, Brian Van Kirk lead off with a single and Adam Loewen walked. Brad Glenn doubled Van Kirk home to tie the game. A. J. Jimenez followed with an infield single to put the Fisher Cats up for the first time. A Clint Robinson single made it 3-1.

The Fisher Cats tacked on a run in the top of the ninth inning when Andy Burns drew a bases loaded walk.

Nolin (4-2) allowed a first inning home run to Harrisburg's Steven Souza Junior, but allowed only three singles the rest of the way. He did not walk a batter and struck out seven.

Randy Boone worked around two walks in the eighth inning and completed the two-frame save with a perfect ninth as the Fisher Cats (34-40) snapped a four-game losing streak.

Harrisburg (40-34) starter Blake Treinen worked seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits, two walks and four strikeouts before turning the game to the bullpen. Ryan Perry (0-1) retired only one of the five batters he faced, taking the loss.
