Portsmouth sobriety checkpoint nets six arrests


PORTSMOUTH - State police charged five people with driving while intoxicated, and a sixth with operating while a habitual offender during a sobriety checkpoint on the Spaulding Turnpike overnight Friday.

A total of 421 vehicles were stopped during the checkpoint, which was conducted from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.

The five drivers arrested for DWI were: Charles E. Bousquin, 51, of Middleton; Jessica K. Bland, 39, of Suffield, Conn.; Dean F. Comisky, 63, of Dover; Alexis Mason, 37, of Dover; and C. Andrew Frangos, 26, of Lee.

Jarmain Gardner, 42, of Dover, was arrested for driving as a habitual offender.

All six people are to appear in 10th Circuit Court, Portsmouth District, on July 22.
