Fisher Cats fall at Harrisburg


 

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats dropped a back-and-forth game at Harrisburg Friday night, 7-6.

The Fisher Cats (33-40) led 4-1 after five innings, but the Senators scored three runs in the sixth, two in the seventh and another in the eighth (breaking a 6-6 tie) to earn the win.

Chorye Spoone took the loss, pitching just 1 1/3 innings but allowing the winning run when Brian Goodwin hit a home run to center field.

Manzella doubled in the top of the ninth to give New Hampshire hope with two outs, but reliever Aaron Barrett struck out Adam Loewen to end it.

Tommy Manzella went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Brad Glenn went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Andy Burns went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and RBI to lead New Hampshire. The teams meet tonight at 7.
