Dog dead, another missing after Hampstead fire

No one was home when the fire broke out just after 10 a.m. at a single-story residence at 10 Aruda Road.Sandown Fire Chief Wilfred Tapley, whose fire crews responded to the initial call because it appeared the house was in Sandown, said one pug dog was found dead and a second pug hasn’t been located. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but Tapley said it doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
The fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes, Tapley said.
