A winning $100,000 Tri-State “Gimme 5” ticket was sold at Bunny’s Superette in Manchester in Wednesday’s drawing. This is the first top prize winner in New Hampshire in the new game, which launched May 15. The game is also sold in Maine and Vermont.
The lucky New Hampshire winner matched all five numbers – 4-21-27-36-37 – in the drawing to win the top prize of $100,000.
“Bunny’s seems to be a lucky store these days,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. “We are thrilled to have our very first Gimme 5 winner here in New Hampshire.”
Bunny’s Superette, 75 Webster St., Manchester, also sold a winning $1 million Powerball ticket last month.
According to McIntyre, the Gimme 5 winner will receive $75,000 after taxes.
The very first Gimme 5 winning ticket was sold in Hodgdon, Maine, on May 17. Brenda Farrar from Orient, Maine, claimed that prize.
“This game was designed to be easy to play and fun to win,” said McIntyre. “Gimme 5 offers players the chance to get their hands on a hundred grand three times a week. Glad we get a chance to give some prize money away with this new game.”
According to McIntyre, players choose five numbers from 1 to 39, or ask for an Easy Pick. If players match all five winning numbers, they win the top prize of $100,000. Match four winning numbers and win $250, match three winning numbers and win $7, and match 2 winning numbers and win $2. Tickets cost $1. Gimme 5 drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
