Hooksett police identify man suspected of attacking taxi driver

HOOKSETT — Hooksett police have identified Shane Kalariotes, 52, of Hooksett, as the motorcyclist suspected of assaulting a Queen City taxi driver and robbing him Wednesday night.

Police officials say they are waiting on a arrest warrant for Kalariotes.

According to police, the incident started off as a road rage incident by the intersection of Webster Street and Hooksett Road in Manchester, and resulted in Kalariotes following a taxi into Hooksett and then ambushing the driver. The assault, which occurred at the Firebird Motel, ended with the suspect taking money from the cab driver and driving away on his motorcycle, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case to call Hooksett police at 624-1560.
