No decision on arrest in shooting of Derry man in Manchester home invasion
MANCHESTER — Authorities have not yet determined if anyone will be arrested in Sunday’s shooting death of Michael Larocque Jr. of Derry.
“We have not reached a final determination regarding the Larocque case,” Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin said Wednesday night.
Police said Larocque apparently kicked in the door of a Lake Avenue apartment before being shot. According to homicide prosecutors, the apartment resident told police he armed himself with a handgun when he heard unknown people on his porch. He fired at the intruders once they kicked in the door, rushed inside and charged him.
One intruder escaped; police are looking for him.
Strelzin said authorities have made no arrests in another shooting death, in which Michael Donnelly was killed May 18 while walking in the area of Pine and Prospect streets by a man firing from a car.
