Shots fired at buildings in Milford and Wilton

MILFORD — Police are investigating what they call a random drive-by shooting on Whiting Hill Road over the weekend.

On Sunday night around 11:25, police from Milford and Wilton were called to a Whiting Hill Road for reports of shots fired at a residence near the town line. Upon further investigation, police found that the house in Milford had been shot, and both vehicles and the building at the Wilton Department of Public Works down the street had been fired upon as well. No one was injured in the shootings.

Police are calling the gunfire “random” and are seeking help from the public to determine who is responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call Milford police at 249-0630 or Wilton police at 654-9452. Tips and information may also be submitted online at www.milfordpd.com and tips@wiltonnhpd.com.
