Search continues for teen missing from Effingham rehab center

EFFINGHAM – The search continues today for an 18-year-old woman named "Joelle," who walked away from the Neuro Rehabilitation Center Sunday afternoon and hasn't been seen since.

Search and rescue teams searched for Joelle throughout Monday night and are continuing efforts to locate her today.

Joelle is described as 5-feet tall, weighing 105 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing blue pajamas with yellow moons on them, pink socks, and no shoes.

Should anyone come into contact with Joelle, please call N.H. Fish and Game Dispatch at 271-3127 or the Carroll County Sheriff's Office at 539-2284.

Crews participating in the search include New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation Officers; New England K-9 Search and Rescue; Upper Valley Wilderness Response Search Team; a N.H. State Police helicopter; Civil Air Patrol; Effingham, Freedom and Ossipee fire departments; Effingham Police; Caretraks; Neuro Rehabilitation Center personnel; and local volunteers.
