The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were leading the New Britain Rock Cats, 3-2, in the bottom of the fourth inning Friday night when the rain arrived, forcing the game to be suspended
The Fisher Cats scored two runs in the first .They loaded the bases on a hit, a walk and an error, and scored the first run on Clint Robinson's RBI groundout. With the bases loaded again after a walk, Brad Glenn lifted a sacrifice fly to drive in the second run.
New Hampshire added a run in the third as Brian Van Kirk scored on Ryan Schimpf's RBI groundout.
New Britain got a run in the first as Josmil Pinto singled home Chris Pettit. Jordan Parraz homered in the fourth for the Rock Cats' other run.
The teams will resume the game as part of a suspended-game doubleheader Saturday evening at 5:05. The game will begin in the bottom of the fourth with the Fisher Cats coming to the plate. It will be played to its regularly-schedule nine-inning conclusion, and will be followed by Saturday's scheduled game shortened to seven innings.
Fans with tickets to Friday's game can exchange those for any future 2013 regular season game, based upon availability. Tickets for today's scheduled contest will be good for both the suspended game and the scheduled game.
