Seacoast inventor aims to protect officers with shield
GREENLAND — Target shooting at the Piscataqua Fish and Game Club on Tuesday morning helped a New Castle inventor move forward on his latest project aimed at protecting the lives of law enforcement officers. A state trooper from outside New Hampshire contacted Shintaro "Sam" Asano several months ago, telling him he encounters many dangerous situations without adequate protection. Asano, best known for developing portable fax machine technology, decided to tackle the trooper's dilemma in hopes of reducing the threats police face on a daily basis.
