Bedford church to honor vets
BEDFORD — Join Bedford Presbyterian Church, 4 Church Road, in honoring those who have served in the military at a service on Sunday, May 26, at 9:30 a.m.
The church will recognize and honor veterans of the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, both in music and throughout the service.
After church, there will be a memorial service at the Bedford Cemetery sponsored by the Bedford VFW Post 8401.
Refreshments will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.

Chester church plans June Jubilee
CHESTER — The Chester Congregational and Baptist Church will hold its annual June Jubilee on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Enjoy a home-made menu that includes barbecue chicken, rib dinner, or North Carolina-style pulled pork with all the fixin’s.
The cost is $12 for regular plates, $16 for combo plates and $5 for kids plates. The barbecue dinner is served from 11 a.m. until 3p.m. and take-out is available.
Also featured is the church yard sale and bake sale. All proceeds will benefit the church.

Sign up for vacation program in Bedford
BEDFORD — Bedford Presbyterian Church has been holding vacation church school programs for more than 30 years and this summer is no different.
Area children who are entering kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to be part of the weeklong program held at the church, 4 Church Road, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, June 24, to Friday, June 28.

The cost is $15 per child with a $40 maximum per family.

Bible school at Gethsemane Lutheran Church
MANCHESTER — Hold on to your hats as we whisk you away to explore the wild west and learn about the first settlers as they learned to survive on the frontier and rely on the Lord to provide.
Save the dates of June 23-26, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Jesus’ Rootin Tootin Roundup Vacation Bible School.
Lively songs, games, crafts and hearty snacks are on the menu.Children between the ages of 3-12 are welcome to join us on our adventure. There is no charge.
