Threats at Goffstown High ‘not credible’

GOFFSTOWN - Threats made against Goffstown High School have been deemed "not credible" after an investigation by the Goffstown Police Department, according to a letter that is going home today to parents and guardians of high school students.

Without explaining what the threats were or who or what they were directed at, school principal Francis J. McBride said Goffstown police investigated “alleged threats directed towards the school by alleged individuals.”

McBride said the school has increased its level of security and police have provided additional resources. He invited people with concerns to email him (fmcbride@goffstown.k12.nh.us), call him at 660-5322, or stop by his office.

School superintendent Stacy Buckley said in an attached note addressed to parents, that “many of you may have heard about some safety concerns at Goffstown High School over the past few days. I am sending this email, with an attachment that will explain the current situation. At this point, I can assure you that GHS Administation, the Goffstown Police Department and I will continue to be vigilient in ensuring the safety of all of our students. At this point in time, the Goffstown Police Department has found no credible evidence for any concern.”
More information will be reported as it becomes available.
