May 22. 2013 10:56AM

NASHUA – A city man is charged with reckless conduct when, during an argument with a woman standing outside his driver's side window, police said he hit her with his Jeep when he sped off.

Robert Rogers, 52, is charged with domestic violence-related reckless conduct, conduct after an accident, and being a habitual offender, all class B felonies, and resisting detention, a class A misdemeanor.

The incident happened about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday on Denton Street. Police said they were called for a domestic disturbance and motor vehicle accident.

Lt. Michael Moushegian said Rogers was in the driver's seat of his 1998 Jeep Cherokee, while the woman was standing outside. The two were arguing when Rogers decided to drive off and struck her, Moushegian said.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening, he said.

Rogers refused bail. He is to be arraigned today in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
