Man who confronts burglar in Nashua gets bit

NASHUA – A 43-year-old man is accused of breaking into a downtown apartment and biting a man on his arm.

David Coutu, 43, no fixed address, is charged with burglary, domestic violence-related, simple assault and resisting detention.

Lt. Michael Moushegian said Coutu went to a Kinsley Street apartment of a woman he knows with the intent of assaulting a man. Once inside, however, Coutu encountered another man, who tried to intervene in the incident, and Coutu bit him on the arm, according to police.

Coutu was arrested about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.

What's next: Coutu refused bail. He is to be arraigned Wednesday in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
