Police say man held girlfriend in car, arrest him

HOOKSETT — A 28-year-old local man was arrested after allegedly keeping his girlfriend prisoner in a car during an argument Monday afternoon, police said.

Eric Morin was arrested after police were called to the weigh station on West River Road after receiving a report of an assault. Officers said Morin and the woman had an argument that culminated with Moring keeping her in the car by putting her in a headlock.

Officers said she broke free shortly before they arrived.

Morin is charged with false imprisonment and simple assault. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and will appear in Hooksett District Court on June 19.
