Rabid cat found, shot in Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH — A cat that attacked three people on Monday was rabid, police said.

Police said the cat, described as black and white with medium-length hair, tested positive for rabies after it was shot and taken to state public health officials.

Anyone who may have been in contact with the cat is asked to call the state Department of Health and Human Services at 271-4501.
