MANCHESTER — Workers reporting to work Monday morning at a construction site at 1638 Candia Road discovered two trailers had been broken into and several tools and copper piping were stolen.
Manchester Police Officer Mike Dunlap took a report of the theft from the foreman at 8 a.m. Both trailers were locked with heavy-duty padlocks, but that didn’t stop the thief, who cut the locking arm instead. Two 50-foot rolls of copper piping and a Stihl pipe saw were taken from the first trailer, and tools including two Stihl pipe saws, two Tapcon lasers, two Dewalt drills and a vibration monitor were taken from the second trailer.
Dunlap investigated a similar theft Sunday morning at a 190 Oak Hill Avenue construction site in which a locked trailer was entered in the same way, and tools were taken, including two Dewalt chop saws, one Dewalt compressor, two Hitachi saws, 10 nail guns and a Dewalt concrete cutter.
