Wanted fugitive arrested by U.S. Marshals in Manchester

CONCORD — "Fugitive of the Week" Mario Camacho, 25, of Manchester, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Monday afternoon in the 300 block of Keller Street in Manchester.

Camacho was wanted by the New Hampshire Parole Board on an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violations stemming from his original conviction and sentence for the possession and sale of narcotics.

As part of this investigation, Camacho was aired as part of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force's weekly feature known as the "Fugitive of the Week" on May 16. The "Fugitive of the Week" is broadcast on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, and featured in the New Hampshire Union Leader, the Nashua Telegraph and is prominently featured on the Internet.
The "Fugitive of the Week" program often leads to numerous tips on the location of many fugitives. In this case, a tip from the public and the perseverance of investigators led to the location and the ultimate arrest of Camacho by authorities.
"Once again, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force got their man," U.S. Marshal David Cargill, Jr. said. "The men and women of the fugitive task force work diligently to bring these highlighted fugitives, along with many others to justice in an expedient and safe manner."
This arrest by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force included participants from the Rockingham County, Belknap County and Hillsborough County sheriff's offices, the Greenfield and Manchester police departments and Deputy U.S. Marshals.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 5,370 arrests.
