Berlin City Auto Group donates to several NH schools
BERLIN — The Berlin City Auto Group and its Drive for Education foundation are donating money to 24 K-12 schools in northern New England, several of which are from New Hampshire.
The award ceremony is Wednesday, May 15, at the Chevrolet store on Route 16 in Gorham at noon.
“We’re thrilled to have be in the position to give out $204,695 in donations to New England schools,” said Yegor Malinovskii, vice president at Berlin City Auto Group. “We believe in giving back to the community and helping our local schools succeed in education.”
New Hampshire schools receiving awards include: Groveton High School, Berlin High School, Brown School in Berlin, the Edward Fenn Elementary School in Gorham, the Berlin Regional Career and Technical Center and Colebrook Elementary School.
To win the award, school officials wrote short essays explaining how their school could use a donation of up to $3,000. The essays were judged by Berlin City’s Brand Ambassadors.
The Berlin City Auto Group is a family of dealerships that was founded in 1980. The Drive for Education foundation was created by employees. The funds for the foundation come from a portion of vehicle sales at Berlin City’s six dealerships.
