Hooksett police say trio stole semi-automatic handgun from Riley's

HOOKSETT — Police are searching for three people they say stole a semi-automatic handgun from Riley's Sport Shop on Wednesday.

Police said two black men and one black woman went into the store shortly before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and the woman is seen on surveillance video reaching around a cabinet and removing a firearm.

An employee saw one of the men with the gun and took it back, police said. As the employee walked away, the woman reached around the case, taking a gun and knife and is seen on the video walking to the back of the store, where she cuts a security tag off the gun and walks out of the store with it, police said.

Police said the gun is a .357-caliber Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 624-1560.
