Franklin Pierce University plays in regional opener; SNHU has night game

The schedule for the NCAA Division II Baseball East Regional at Southern New Hampshire University features Franklin Pierce in Thursday's opening game and the host Penmen in the night game.

FPU, the sixth seed in the six-team regional, meets top seed Wilmington (Del.) in an 11 a.m. game at Penmen Field. No. 2 St. Thomas Aquinas battles No. 5 Pace in a 3 p.m. game, followed by SNHU and fellow Northeast-10 member New Haven at 7 p.m.The double-elimination tournament continues Friday and Saturday with 11 a.m., 3 p.m . and 7 p.m. games. A possible championship game is set for Sunday at 3 p.m., with another game, if necessary, set for 3 p.m.
