UPDATED: Goffstown power expected to be back on by 5:15 p.m.
GOFFSTOWN - Public Service of New Hampshire expects that power will be fully restored to 1,200 Goffstown customers about 5:15 p.m.
Some could be restored sooner, as crews work to transfer customers to other circuits, said company spokesman Martin Murray. That could be accomplished by 4 p.m.
Murray said that "a tree issue in an off-road location" is the likely cause of the power outage.
Police said they started receiving calls between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. and notified Public Service. The power failure was affecting the village area, police said, and includes Glen Lake and Maple Avenue schools.
