Now it can be told: Keene man part of 'Ghost Army'
The top-secret unit scurried stealthily through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany in 1945 after the Normandy invasion — not to fight the enemy, but to trick it. Nearly 70 years later, the unit will finally get its due. On May 21, PBS will broadcast “The Ghost Army,” a documentary about those veterans that was written, produced and directed by Rick Beyer of Lexington, Mass.
