Homeless sex offender accused in Keene rape

KEENE - A homeless man who is a registered sex offender has been arrested and charged with one count of felonious sexual assault, a class B felony, after police learned through his parole officer that he may have assaulted a 15-year-old girl.
Police say Altieri J. Farinoli, 22, with no fixed address, was living at a transitional apartment when the alleged crime occurred on April 13.
Police accuse Farinoli of meeting with the girl in the living area of his apartment, giving her alcohol, and engaging in sexual intercourse with her.
Farinoli is a registered sex offender who was convicted in 2011 in Cheshire County Superior Court of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arraigned Thursday in 8th Circuit Court, Keene District Division, and bail was set at $25,000 cash. He is being held at the Cheshire County jail. His next appearance will be for a probable cause hearing May 15.
