Nashua man arrested after stabbing


NASHUA - A 22-year-old Nashua man was arrested Tuesday and accused of stabbing another man with a knife during an argument Sunday night.

Jose Montalvo-Rivera, of 7 Commercial St., was arrested by Nashua Police without incident during a traffic stop and charged with first-degree assault.

The assault happened Sunday just after 10 p.m. on Commercial Street. Police responded for a report of a disturbance involving weapons and found a male who had been stabbed.

First-degree assault is punishable by 7 ½ to 15 years imprisonment. Montalvo-Rivera is being held pending arraignment in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
