BELMONT - A local man has been arrested for allegedly seriously injuring a man during an altercation involving alcohol on Tuesday.
Sean P. Baker, 26, was seen fleeing from a second-floor window at his 88 Fox Hill Road home by officers who had come to his house with a search warrant, said Belmont Police Lt. Richard Mann.
Baker was arrested a short distance from his home as he tried to flee, police said, and he was charged with first-degree assault and criminal threatening, both felony-level offenses.
Police said the incident occurred at Baker's home sometime Tuesday. The vitctim, who was not named by police, was also 26.
Police were advised that the victim was at Lakes Region General Hospital, arriving Wednesday morning and seeking treatment for a head laceration.The victim reported that he had been bleeding since the event took place the day before, Mann said.
Investigators say the victim was injured after a verbal altercation and a fight.
