Rochester couple mistakes milk snake for rattler cousin

Mike Marchand, a wildlife biologist with Fish and Game, said his department gets several calls each spring about a potential sighting of a rattlesnake. Most often it turns out to be the eastern milk snake, but in his experience, all of the snake species native to the state have at some point been mistaken for a rattlesnake.
