NHIAA Roundup: Hanover's Cravero no-hits Lebanon
Joe Cravero's last start against his arch-rival turned out to be a memorable one.
Cravero struck out 16 batters and pitched a no-hitter to lead Hanover to an 8-0 Division II baseball win against Lebanon on Wednesday. Cravero (3-1), who will be attending Holy Cross this fall, struckout 11 of the final 12 batters he faced in the game. He ended up facing 24 batters, - three over the minimum - and threw 103 pitches, including 53 over the final four frames.
Merrimack 2, Salem 0: At Merrimack, Brett Glendyke's two-out, two-run single in the home sixth plated Devin Gillis and Dom Valluzzi. Merrimack starter Evan McCormack earned win with a one-hit complete game shutout.
Manchester West 13, John Stark 4: At Weare, Manchester West has won two straight games to move to 3-7. West had 14 hits including three from Jason Bourgeois, Dylan Bissonnette and Jeff Bell. Bell and Mike Gamache each drove in three runs. Bissonnette had two RBIs.
Souhegan 4, Hollis/Brookline 3: At Amherst, Souhegan overcame a three-run deficit by scoring a run in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Bishop Guertin 7, Central 6: At Manchester, BG came up with two runs in the top of the seventh and prevented Central from scoring in the bottom half of the inning. Jeff Lunn drove in three runs for BG, which also received two stolen bases from C.J. Boykin.

Bedford 4, Alvirne 3: At Hudson, Bedford tied the game by scoring a run in the top of the sixth and then scored what turned out to be the game-winning run in the top of the ninth when Ben Philbrick singled home Kyle Andersson. Alvirne loaded the bases in bottom of the seventh, but lined into an inning-ending double play. The Bulldogs have won seven of their last nine.
Nashua North 4, Pinkerton 2: At Nashua, Mike Robert struck out 12 and limited Pinkerton two four hits in five innings to highlight North's victory. North's Brendan Martin had two hits and drove in a run.
Goffstown 7, Windham 5: At Goffstown, winning pitcher Hailey Campbell allowed five hits and fanned six for the win. Emily Comtois of Windham had a triple and a double and teammate Danielle Donovan drove in two runs.
Pinkerton 8, Nashua North 7: At Derry, Natalie Fabrizio led a 14-hit attack with three hits, and Pinkerton teammates Kinsey Manchester, Lauren Phillips, Kelly Fitzsimmons and Sam Comeau each had two hits.
Londonderry 15, Nashua South 8: At Londonderry, winning pitcher Leah Hunt struck out seven batters for the Lancers.
Trinity 8, Pembroke 1: At Pembroke, Jenna Arcand, Hannah DiCroce and Allie Bowe each had three hits, and the Pioneers pulled away by scoring six runs in the seventh. Trinity's Katie Pelton pitched a complete game and held Pembroke to four hits. Pembroke's run was unearned.
Bishop Guertin 8, Central 5: At Nashua, BG sophomore Tori Dubois had three hits, including two three-run home runs, and drove in seven runs to lead the Cardinals to victory. Stacie Cornell added two hits and scored three runs.
Campbell 15, Raymond 3: At Raymond, the Cougars jumped on top early and collected 14 hits on the way to their ninth win in 10 tries. Emily Paquin allowed four hits and earned the pitching win. Raymond fell to 5-4.
Franklin 7, Laconia 2: At Laconia, Franklin scored four runs on six hits in the top of the first and Kelsey Bird struck out 13 and held Laconia to three hits. Kat Styles had a three-run triple in the first.
Monadnock 16, Fall Mtn. 4: At Swanzey, Perri Adams allowed four hits to lead the Huskies. Felicia Gaillardetz had two triples and Jordan Blake, Kitty Tolman and Adams each had a pair of hits for Monadnock.
Nashua South 15, Manchester Central 4: In Nashua, Maggie McGovern, Meaghan McGilvray, Jordan McCown and Sarah Thompson each scored for Central.
Nashua North 15, Central 4: At Nashua, sophomore Jexi Williams, junior Kara Upton and senior Ellie Shuman each scored three goals to propel the Titans. North scored the game's first five goals and led 9-2 at halftime.
Dover 18, Goffstown 15: At Goffstown, Sydney Gagnon scored four goals and Lexi Foster, MacKenzie Chu, Faith Francouer, and Sydney Dubois each had a pair to lead the Grizzlies, who fell to 3-5. Courtney Caron, Katy Kalevitch and Anne Steckowych each had a goal. Dover is now 4-6.
Londonderry 19, Exeter 13: At Exeter, Alexa Bedell collected four goals and an assist to lead the Lancers. Londonderry received three goals and three assists from Julia Wasserman, and two goals and four assists from Noelle Lambert.
Pinkerton 18, Nashua South 4: At Derry, Erin Coutts scored four goals and Maggie McCarthy had three goals and two assists to lead the Astros, who improved to 10-2. The Astros led 18-4 at the half.
Bedford 13, Dover 5: At Dover, Dan Colella and Jason Campbell each scored three goals to lead Bedford on Tuesday. Colella added four assists and Campbell one and David Phelps also had a pair of goals.
Hollis-Brookline 3, Mascenic 0: At Hollis, Brian Thibodeau had 10 kills and Alec Paulson 17 assists to lead the Cavaliers who won by scores of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-22.
Salem 9, Souhegan 0: At Amherst, Eric Denning had 12 kills and three blocks and the Blue Devils stayed unbeaten with wins of 25-4, 25-20 and 25-16. Salem is 9-0 and Souhegan is 5-5. Jacob Slepian had 19 assists for Salem and Andrew Ruffen added seven,
