New Britain, Sobolewski foils Fisher CatsStaff report

New Britain's four-run fifth inning made the difference in the Rock Cats' 8-5 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Tuesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Former Fisher Cat Mark Sobolewski hit a two-run homer off losing pitcher Chorye Spoone (1-2), and later in the inning Jonathan Goncalves doubled home Danny Santana and Dan Rohlfing. New Hampshire, which had led 4-3, wasn't able to climb back into the game.
Kevin Pillar had a pair of hits and drove home a pair of runs for the Fisher Cats.
Josmil Pinto's first-inning RBI double, Danny Lehmann's second-inning sacrifice fly and Antoan Richardon's RBI single in the second staked New Britain to a 3-0 lead.
The Fisher Cats got two back in the second on Pillar's two-run single. They took the lead, 4-3, in the third on Brad Glenn's RBI double.
Sean Ochinko scored on an RBI groundout for the Fisher Cats (15-18) in the sixth to round out New Hampshire's scoring. Goncalves' RBI single in the seventh closed the scoring for the Rock Cats (17-15).
B.J. Hermsen (1-2) earned the win for New Britain, going five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits. Chorye Spoone (L, 1-2) allowed four runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings.
Glenn finished the game with three hits, including a pair of doubles.
The Fisher Cats will try and salvage the finale of the series this morning at 10:35. Marcus Walden (1-3, 2.97) pitches for New Hampshire against New Britain's Pat Dean (0-3, 4.22).
