Manchester man arrested in gun threat
MANCHESTER - A 21-year-old man is under arrest for criminal threatening after he pointed a BB gun at another man's head in an incident inside a Wilson Street apartment, according to police.
Police said they were called Monday about 5:30 p.m. to 200 Wilson St. for a reported gun threat. Officers met with a couple outside, and the man, Ryan Bissonnette, 34, no current address, told them Christian Edwards, 21, of 558 Chestnut St., had threatened him with a gun.
Bissonnette said he and his 25-year-old female companion had gone to the Wilson Street apartment to retrieve some clothing. Bissonnette waited in the kitchen with Edwards and several other people while his friend retrieved belongings from a bedroom.
Suddenly, Bissonnette told police, Edwards pulled out a handgun, pointed it at his head and told him to leave the apartment.
Bissonnette was uncertain why Edwards was provoked, but he said he and his friend quickly left.
Police arrested Edwards without incident. Police said they found marijuana on him and also recovered a black BB pistol believed used in the threat. The orange tip was blacked out, making it look like an authentic pistol, according to authorities.
Also arrested was Tanysha Johnson, 19, of 200 Wilson St., who was wanted on an unrelated bench warrant.
