Kensington fire damages porch
KENSINGTON — Firefighters haven't determined the cause of a fire that damaged part of a porch on a house at 14 Moulton Ridge Road Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. outside the porch and traveled about a foot inside the room, Fire Chief Charles LeBlanc said.
A portion of the siding and exterior wall was damaged, but the porch sustained no significant structural damage, LeBlanc said.
A person at the residence attempted to put the fire out, LeBlanc said.
The fire was knocked down quickly once firefighters arrived.
No one was injured.
