MANCHESTER - A Manchester police officer on routine patrol early Saturday morning came upon a car crash at Blaine and Second streets, with a vehicle resting up against a building and three men standing nearby.
While Officer Neil Pentinnen was investigating the 1 a.m. crash, the vehicle started rolling back from the building where it had ended up. Pentinnen quickly reversed his cruiser to avoid behind hit by the driverless car, but while he was doing that, the three left on foot.
Two of the men were later located in a nearby yard, and using witness accounts, Pentinnen arrested Andrew Gagnon, 36, of Manchester, and charged him with operating after suspension, resisting arrest and conduct after an accident.
