Petition criticizes NH police chiefs raffling guns
NEWMARKET — Sarah Rawlings couldn't believe it when she heard about the plan by the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police to hold a monthlong New Hampshire-made firearms raffle. “I was at one of my favorite local coffee shops … when I heard about it,” said Rawlings, 37, a research analyst. “I was flabbergasted to hear they were doing this. This was right after the bombings at the Boston Marathon, and I couldn’t believe they were raffling off guns.”
