N.H. Fish and Game land agent Betsy McNaughten said Fish and Game has owned the bog itself since 1934 and has managed it as a fishery. She said the dam is relatively new, constructed in early 2000. "We've stocked it ever since, but we will cease stocking it if they put the gate up," she said. The bog is an artificial impoundment and is open to the public. Its normal capacity is 31 acres.
