CENTER HARBOR – A fisherman whose boat capsized on Lake Winona late Sunday morning was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was pulled from the lake.
Center Harbor Fire Chief John Schlemmer said the victim was gravely ill.
"We're not sure, we may have had a drowning," he said.
Rescue crews were sent to 636 Winona Road at 10:37 a.m. after a report of a man swimming by his overturned boat, Schlemmer said.
A lakeside homeowner with a boat pulled the man to shore, where paramedics were engaged in CPR, trying to save his life.
He was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital, the chief said.
