Designers prepare for NH Game Jam
MANCHESTER - Local designers will be asked to create a game from start to finish in 36 hours or less.
That is the only rule for the inaugural New Hampshire Game Jam.
Local business incubator, abi Innovation Hub, in conjunction with Manchester-based board game and app developer, Games By Play Date, have invited regional game developers, designers, artists and creatives of all types to attend New Hampshire's first Game Jam, where they will be competing to build the best game possible from scratch in 36 hours, starting 6 p.m. May 10 at the Amoskeag Business Hub in Manchester.
"Students, professional and amateur designers, programmers, artists, geeks, nerds, code monkeys and gamers are all welcome to register at nhgamejam.org," said Glenn Given, founder of Games By Play Date.
After the 36 hours, each game will be judged by a panel. The winners will be announced May 12.
Prototypes of all participating analog games, such as board, card and tabletop games, will get printed by Hippo Prints.
