Two-alarm fire destroys Alexandria home

ALEXANDRIA - A two-alarm fire destroyed a weekend home late Monday night.

Fire Chief Mark Chavalier said a passerby reported fire from a home at 1106 Cass Mill Road at about 10:45 p.m.

Firefighters could not stop the fire from burning down the 1½-story home, which was unoccupied at the time.

Investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office were called to investigate the cause of the fire, which was unknown Tuesday morning, Chevalier said.

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
