Sears employee arrested for theft at Nashua store

NASHUA - A former Sears employee is accused of stealing more than $1,500 in merchandise while he worked at the store at the Pheasant Lane Mall.

Brian Silk, 23, of 133 Haines St., was arrested Saturday afternoon on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking consolidation, class A felony.

Silk was employed at the store when he allegedly stole the merchandise, hid it on his body and walked out of the store without paying for it. The thefts happened between January and March.

What's next: Silk is free on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. His arraignment is May 16 in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
