Boston Marathon Memorial Walk/Run at King Pine Saturday
The 2.62k event is free and open to all, though cash and check donations to One Fund Boston, Inc. will be greatly appreciated. Over 30 local businesses have donated food and raffle prizes.
"Through the generosity of Valley businesses and the Hoyt Family at King Pine, this event is costing us nothing to hold, which is why we can donate 100 percent of your funds," the running organization announced.
Registration opens at 9 a.m. at Milt's Place, with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. The walk/run kicks off at 10:10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear clothes that show their support for Boston.
Parking is available at Milt's Place at King Pine, with overflow parking at the ski area's main lodge.
King Pine is on Route 153, about 15 minutes from Conway. Milt's Place is located at the base of the Black Bear Triple Chair.
