Judge freezes assets in $54M fraud allegedly orchestrated by ex-NH lawmaker
A Utah federal judge has given prosecutors the green light to keep cash, gold coins, a sports car and other property seized from American International Security Corp. and others over their alleged roles in a bribery scheme aimed at winning $54 million in government contracts in Afghanistan. Hearing scheduled for April 30 on stay of civil forfeiture until criminal case is resolved.
