Andrea Alley, from Manchester, New Hampshire, says that mechanism helped her recognize when her toddler son Timmy was hurt. Running late to pick Timmy up from daycare, the mother-of-three - who described herself as normally 'pretty laid-back' - felt a sudden, manic urge to get to his school as quickly as possible.
