Rochester group explores forming militia discovers governor would be commander-in-chief
ROCHESTER — Not everyone may know that the Right of Revolution is enshrined in the New Hampshire Constitution; some residents who are aware of this right, and who are troubled by current federal and state policies, think that one response could be the formation of a militia as a bulwark to protect the general population from despotism or tyranny.
