Former Pembroke woman says Cambridge on edge as manhunt continues
Cambridge residents are waiting anxiously in lockdown for answers and peace as the manhunt for the surviving Boston Marathon suspect rages throughout the area.
'My place is half a mile away from where the guys were,' said Kelly Hamilton, a Cambridge woman with Pembroke, NH roots. 'My friend lives over there, so they evacuated all of them.'
Law enforcement officials have been hunting Dzhokhar Tsarnaev since late last night when an explosion of violence in Cambridge which left his brother and fellow suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnav, dead. Much of the Boston area has been put on lockdown as police attempt to corner Dzhokhar. In the meantime, all the people of Cambridge can do is wait.
'It's been pretty scary,' Hamilton said. 'Everything's in lockdown. We can't leave the house. It's really freaky.'
