Sox and Bruins postpone Friday games with city on lockdown

With much of Greater Boston remaining locked down while the manhunt for a suspect in the bombing of the Boston Marathon continued, the Bruins and Red Sox postponed Friday night's games.

The Bruins, who were scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7 p.m. Friday, tentatively rescheduled the game for 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Red Sox, who were scheduled to open a three-game series, did not announce a make-up date for Friday night's game. Games are scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Saturday and 1:35 p.m. Sunday. This is the Royals' only scheduled trip to Boston this season, so a Sunday doubleheader appears likely.

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
